Study data analytics with Coursera and get a certificate

Coursera is a leading online course platform that I started using to study data analytics. I recommend it to anyone who wants to become a data analyst but doesn’t know where to start. You’ll even get a certificate at the end of the course, so how cool is that?

Courcera

Courserais the world’s leading online course platform and was founded in 2012 by Stanford professors in the U.S. Today, you can take courses from famous universities around the world and courses created by Coursera‘s partners through the Courseraplatform.

The best thing about Coursera is that it’s an online course, so you can take it at your own pace, and depending on the course you take, you can earn an online degree or a certificate from our partners.

1) Introduction to Coursera Lessons

There are two main types of courses on Coursera: free and paid. In general, you can expect to pay for most of the degree and certificate programs. The topics are incredibly diverse, as you can see above.

They range from data science to language learning, health, personal development, and even math and logic. How can you not find something you want to study?

The great thing about Coursera is that many of the courses are available in Korean, so don’t worry too much about the language part, just find your favorite subject.

2) Coursera Pricing

Coursera courses are broadly divided into free and paid, and if you want a certificate or something, you have to pay for it. First of all, it depends on the current course, but for individual courses, it usually starts at $49/month.

I started last year and I’m taking the Google data analytics course for USD $39 per month. At the exchange rate of 1300 won, you’re paying a little bit more than 50,000 won per month. Currently, as I said, there seems to be a slight increase in price.

If you’re like me and you don’t want to take individual courses, but you want to take all of the courses onCourcera at once, there’s a subscription available, and that’s Courcera plus. For a monthly subscription fee of $59, you get access to over 7,000 world-class courses and hands-on project lessons.

If you’re looking for a larger selection of courses without paying a monthly subscription fee, Courcera Plus is theway to go. Both individual course sign-ups and Courcera Plus subscriptions are free for the first 7 days after you start, and you can refund within that time.

Coursera Data Analytics

I’m studying data analytics at Coursera, specifically the Google Data Analytics (Analytics) course. There are 8 courses in total, and I’m currently on the 2nd course.

The course is designed to be completed in 6 months at 10 hours per week, but it can be completed at a faster or slower pace depending on your own pace. I’m taking it at a very slow pace, so I’m not sure when I’ll finish, but I should finish within the year.

I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be a data analyst, is interested, but doesn’t know how to get started. Because that’s exactly what I was, completely unrelated to my college major and what I’m doing now, all I had was interest, and that’s what got me started.

I could have gone back to school at a local university (3-year program), but I couldn’t spend that much time and money in my current situation. But sitting on my hands isn’t my style either, so after a lot of searching, I ended up taking a Coursera online course.

1) Coursera Google Data Analytics Lectures

The Google Data Analytics course I’m taking has a total of eight modules, each with multiple modules, each with videos, readings, and practice quizzes, and at the end there’s a module-specific quiz that you have to pass to move on to the next module.

Unfortunately, the Google Data Analytics course is not available in Korean. All videos and reading materials are in English. You may not be able to understand the videos alone, but the English transcripts are provided below, so you can follow along.

What’s great about Coursera courses is that you don’t just pass the quizzes, there are a lot of assignments that put you in situations where you can pretend you are a data analyst, even if you’re not.

There’s also a community of other people taking the same course, so you can see how others have answered the assignments.

I’m currently on the second of eight courses, and I got a certificate at the end of the first course. I thought they gave you one at the end of all eight courses, but it seems like they give you a certificate at the end of each course. It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but I feel more motivated after getting it.

2) Get a job with your Coursera certificate

You may be wondering if the online courses and certifications from Coursera and our partners are really valuable in today’s industry, and if they’re worth your time and money to help you land a job, change careers, etc.

The great thing about earning a Coursera GOOGLE DATA ANALYTICS certificate is that you can share it on LinkedIn right away. LinkedIn is a platform created for people to advance their careers, and it’s the world’s largest network on the internet.

Certainly overseas, many people get hired or change jobs through LinkedIn.

The advantage of this is that the certificate can be shared directly on your LinkedIn profile, so others can see it right away. It doesn’t guarantee you a job, but I think it’s better than nothing. And 75% of people who earned the Google Data Analytics Certificatesaid they saw an improvement in their job search or job change.

And with almost 2 million people who have completed the course or are currently taking it, you can see that a lot of people start with this course when they’re studying data analytics.

I don’t think getting a certificate is 100% guaranteed to help you get a job, but I do think that if you have something you want to be and you’re just waiting for it to happen, the feeling of accomplishment when you finally get there will help you feel more confident than just getting a job.

So, regardless of whether or not a certificate is worth it, if you want something badly enough, I think it’s better to try and do something about it. If you’re interested, I recommend that you go to the Coursera website right now and take a look around.
