Recently, I shared how to receive Samsung Electronics stock prices and related news daily via Google Anti-Gravity and GitHub. However, since some found that method difficult, I’m exploring a much simpler approach. I’m going to try

automating Google Gemini AI news. If you’ve been searching for the same thing every morning, don’t waste your time anymore.

Gemini Scheduled Tasks Feature

These days, it seems many ChatGPT subscribers are switching over to Google Gemini. This proves just how many features it offers for practical use in our daily lives. I prefer AI that is directly applicable to our lives.

I use Gemini a lot for scheduling and tasks, so I handle it frequently. That got me wondering about something.

Besides the Google Anti-Gravity and GitHub methods mentioned earlier, I wondered if there was an easier way to get the information I wanted without repetitive searches. That’s when I tried using Gemini’s scheduled task feature.

1) How to Set Up Gemini News Scheduling

We will now demonstrate the entire process for automating AI news.

When making a Gemini reservation, you must provide a specific time.

Then, Gemini immediately created the reservation task for me. I did this task at 12:37. And I waited for 3 minutes.

Exactly at the requested time, Gemini summarized and displayed five key news items related to SK Hynix. That photo showing ‘Find and summarize five news items related to SK Hynix’ was not created by me.

You may or may not remember, but do you recall the prompt I entered at the very beginning: “Every day at 12:40 PM (New Zealand time), summarize and send me five news items related to SK Hynix”?

Gemini seemed to remember the time and then, when that time came, perform the scheduled task I had requested.

Anyway, I was able to check a summary of five SK Hynix-related news items. And since I’m using a Galaxy Watch 8, I received a Gemini notification at the exact time.

2) SK hynix’s AI News Automation Initiative

Instead of what Gemini shows, I wondered if I could request automated emails. So I tried requesting it myself, and they said they’d send automated emails like the one above. If it’s this easy, why did I ever use Google AntiGravity and GitHub?

When I asked why they didn’t even ask for my email address, they replied as follows.

Yay! At this rate, I think I could make 100 of these. But in reality, Gemini AI news automation isn’t feasible. That is, if you use it on its own.

Then why not just say it’s impossible from the start? Why did you say it would work out? That’s what I thought. Everyone says it’s impossible. If anyone knows, please let me know. I’d really appreciate it.

3) How to Disable the Gemini Scheduled Task Feature

There will inevitably come a time when you no longer want a scheduled task you’ve set up. I’ll tell you right away how to cancel it.

Once you’re in Gemini, select Settings and Help in the bottom-left corner, then go to the Scheduled Tasks menu.

I see you requested a Gemini scheduled task. Simply turning off the switch here will prevent the scheduled task from running anymore.

4) Scheduled Job Execution Results (Update)

Today, I received summaries of five major news articles related to SK Hynix, along with links to the original articles, within the timeframe I requested. Although it was stated above that they were sent via Gmail, that is not true. Since Gemini cannot perform such functions yet, I’ll just accept it for now.

Automating repetitive tasks with AI is incredibly convenient. I use Google AntiGravity and GitHub to automatically receive daily emails with Samsung stock prices and related news—it’s really convenient.

Well, you could just ask ChatGPT or Gemini to search for you every day. You might counter, “Why bother creating email automation when it’s such a hassle?” I agree.

But once you get used to automation, it’s incredibly convenient. Instead of spending time on it or even thinking about it, you can focus on more important tasks.
