Create Blog Thumbnails with Free AI Images for Beginners (KlingAI)
Sometimes when creating blog thumbnails, it’s frustrating when you can’t find the image you want. But now, with image AI, we can easily generate the blog thumbnails we desire. Let’s start making blog thumbnails with free AI images. We’ll use KlingAI.
Creating Blog Thumbnails
As part of your online business, you probably blog a lot. Then you must remember creating blog thumbnails after writing your posts.
Back when image and video AI services weren’t this diverse and easy to use, even making blog thumbnails was a chore.
I ended up spending more time searching for the images I wanted than actually creating the thumbnails. This was because finding the right images on websites offering free images like Unsplash or Pexels wasn’t easy.

But now, using image AI services, we can create the blog thumbnail images we want with incredible ease.
The Hedra AI platform I mentioned in my previous post is no exception. The image, video, and audio AI service platform I’ll introduce this time is KlingAI.
Among the AI platforms currently available to the public, I believe KlingAI offers a relatively high level of quality. To briefly describe the KlingAI menu (on the left), it is as follows.

It’s such an intuitive platform that even beginners will find it easy to use.
Create blog thumbnails with free AI images
1) Create Free AI Images
Let’s create blog thumbnails using free AI images. Before that, just for fun, I’ll enter a prompt and try generating various images.
For now, it’s better to enter prompts in English rather than Korean. This way, the generated images will be closer to what you want.
Enter your text in Korean on Papago or ChatGPT and ask it to translate it into English. Then simply copy and paste the result.
As shown in the image above, you can also specify the size and the number of shots you want to generate. Once everything is set, click the light green Generate button to create your AI image.
I did mention it’s free, but generating AI images, videos, and such requires credits. Even so, I said it’s free because you receive 166 credits upon signing up.
And to generate the AI image above, I used 4 credits. What’s great about KlingAI is that it shows the number of credits required on the generate button.
Well, since I can immediately check how much it costs and how much credit I have left, I think I’ll be a bit more cautious about generating AI-created content.
2) Creating AI images that closely resemble real photographs
I did enter the prompt and, of course, got a decent AI image, but I actually wanted an image closer to a real photograph.
So this time, I tried generating an AI image by adding “A photo-realistic image of” before the existing prompt.

AI image requested to closely resemble the actual photo

It doesn’t quite feel like a 100% real photo, but compared to the initial cartoonish photos, you can see the effort put into making it look closer to a real photo.
If you want a photo-realistic look, don’t forget to add “A photo-realistic image of” before your prompt.
However, it seems that whether the result leans toward cartoonish or photorealistic depends on the feel of the prompt you input.

This is because some images were not generated with a cartoonish feel, even though the prompt did not specifically request realistic-looking images.
3) Creating Blog Thumbnails
This time, I created a blog thumbnail using free AI images. I requested an image conveying the feeling of a successful businesswoman holding a laptop and explaining something in an office setting, themed around “10 Ways to Make Money with Your Blog.”
I tried setting the aspect ratio from the original 9:16 to 1:1. This was because many blog thumbnails require a square format.

Now just add the title here, save it, and use it as your blog thumbnail. Of course, the Kling AI watermark will remain in the bottom right corner, but it shouldn’t be a problem at all when using it as a thumbnail.
Conclusion
Today I tried making blog thumbnails with free AI images. Of course, the paid version offers more impressive and advanced features.
But for blog thumbnails, I think this Kling AI platform is great—it lets you create fantastic thumbnails using just a small amount of credits.
In the next episode, we’ll also be preparing a process for creating videos using AI, so those interested can look forward to it.
