Kling AI Pricing and How to Create AI Videos for Free
These days, you can easily find AI services that help create a wide variety of images and videos. For those new to AI services, they might all seem pretty similar. Among them, I’ll introduce Kling AI, which offers the highest quality, along with its pricing and how to create AI videos for free.
Kling AI Free, Paid Version
The Kling AI platform, which uses AI to generate diverse images, videos, and even audio, is available in both free and paid versions.
I’m currently using it for free. While using it for free, I’m constantly amazed at how invaluable this AI platform can be as a tool for running an online business.
So I started wondering about the price of Kling AI too. I figured there must be many others like me, so I decided to look into the paid version.
Kling AI Free Version
The free version of Kling AI provides 166 credits per month once you log in. Creating one image typically uses one credit.
For videos, the cost depends on the length, so it’s difficult to give an exact figure.
The image above shows the Kling AI home screen. Among the left-side menu options, the green icon and number indicate your current remaining credits; I have 94 credits left.
The interesting part is that when you tap that green icon, it shows all the credit usage history up to now. I received 166 free monthly credits on April 5th.
Kling AI Price (Paid Version)
On the home screen, you’ll see the Subscribe menu right next to the green icon. Select it to check the Kling AI pricing you’re curious about.
Annual payment price
First, the key difference between the free and paid versions (Standard, Pro, Premier) lies in the time it takes to create content.
Naturally, the paid versions take significantly less time to create content than the free version. Additionally, the watermark that appears on content created with the free version is not visible in the paid versions.
The difference between Standard, Pro, and Premier lies in the monthly credit allowance. Additionally, with Pro and Premier, you gain earlier access to new features released by Kling AI compared to the paid Standard version.
Still think it’s too expensive? Then let’s look at the monthly price instead of the annual price for Kling AI.
Monthly payment price
Whether annual or monthly, the monthly credits provided are the same. While the annual payment price seemed steep at first glance, the monthly price is much more affordable.
Actually, when you pay annually, you can use the platform at a price discounted by 34%, while monthly payments offer a discount of about 12%.
First, try it out for free. If you find yourself using it frequently, we recommend exploring options like the Monthly Standard plan to find the right fit for your needs.
How to Create AI Videos for Free
Above, we looked into the price of Kling AI, which many were curious about. Now, I’ll show you a video I created myself using the free version.
The video is about 5 seconds long, and the credits took about 35 seconds. It shows us making a V-sign at the top of the ski slope, taking a photo, and then gazing at the sunrise behind us.
How to Create AI Videos for Free
First, since I intended to create a video using AI images, I go to the AI Images menu. Then, describe the desired appearance of the photo in the Prompt. For now, entering text in English is more advantageous for generation than using Korean.
For reference, if you’re having trouble with free AI image generation, reading my post below should help you understand it much better.
To express my AI video more as I envisioned, I created two video images: one as the initial image and the other as the final image. I generated the image below as the second final image.
Now, Kling AI has generated both the start and end images. Next, I’m switching from the image menu to the video menu. See the Kling AI watermark on the bottom-right photo? When you create something for free, it comes out with this watermark.
In the video generation work screen, drag and drop the two images you created into the Start and End menus. Then set the video length and click the green Generate button to complete the task.
By the way, I originally wanted to make a video about 10 seconds long, but it turns out I needed 70 credits.
So I reduced it to 5 seconds. The number displayed on the green generate button indicates the credits required to create the video.
Generating AI videos definitely takes much longer than AI images. In my case, it took about 30 to 40 minutes.
When you press the generate button, a message appears stating that there are videos already in the queue and how long it will take. For those who want faster generation, the paid version is likely a better fit than the free one.
Conclusion
Today, I introduced Kling AI’s pricing and how to create AI videos for free. Personally, I plan to keep using the free version and, if I feel I need this platform, I’d like to try the Standard monthly subscription.
I want to create a lot of AI videos, but the time it takes to generate them seems much longer than the credits. For impatient people like me, the paid version might be better for mental health. Thank you for reading.
