Try Canva Pro free for 30 days Try it yourself
I’ve been totally hooked on Canva’s update features lately. I’ve been watching YouTube videos and trying to replicate as much as possible with the free version, but I hit a wall. I was about to subscribe right away, but I’ve decided to challenge myself to try Canva Pro for free for 30 days. Let’s go through this process together from now on.
Limitations of Canva’s Free Version
While running an online business, I manage a blog and YouTube channel. Through this, I realized a design platform is essential and have been using Canva and Miricanvas.
However, the elements and features available in Canva’s free version had limitations. At first, I thought the simple features and a few elements provided for free by Canva would suffice, but I kept wanting more.
Especially with the limitations on elements and templates, it was frustrating not being able to create everything I wanted freely. As you can see in the image above, items marked with a crown icon require a Canva Pro subscription to use.
So while I was debating whether to subscribe, I noticed a button for a free 30-day trial of Canva Pro. I decided to try it out before committing to a subscription.
Try Canva Pro for 30 days free

The “Try Canva Pro Free for 30 Days” button is easily found in the top right corner of the homepage. You can cancel your trial anytime within 30 days
, and we’ll send you a reminder 7 days before your trial ends to help you stay aware of the cancellation.
Try Canva Pro for Free: The Complete Process
1) Start your free trial
I really liked being able to freely choose photos and videos that weren’t available in the free version of Canva. Honestly, I thought, “Now I don’t have to worry about that crown icon anymore.” Just select Start Free Trial.
2) Free Trial Period (30 Days) and Subscription Pricing Information
I believe this step is very important. Because it allows you to confirm the exact duration of the free trial and the price if you proceed with a subscription afterward.
In my case, the period from May 12 to June 10, 2025, is free. However, please remember that if you do not cancel the trial by June 11, the subscription will automatically begin.

Since I was planning to subscribe anyway, I’ve already checked the annual payment option. And for those using Canva Pro who want to cancel their trial, they say they’ll send a reminder 7 days before it ends, so you probably don’t need to worry too much.
3) Select payment method and complete payment
As with other platforms, since paid subscriptions begin as of June 11, you are required to set up a payment method and make a payment.
4) Canva Pro Usage Scope
You can select the purpose for which you intend to use Canva Pro.
5) Canva Pro subscription completed

That’s it! Your Canva Pro subscription is now complete. Of course, you’re currently in the free trial period.
After the 30-day free trial, your subscription will automatically renew using the payment method you selected above.
How to cancel your Canva Pro free trial
If you’re trying out Canva Pro for free and decide you just want to cancel, here’s how to do it:
First, go to your account button and then select Settings (the gear icon).
The screen above is what you’ll see after clicking Settings. From there, you can cancel your trial by selecting Payment, the three dots, and then Plan Cancellation. Pretty simple, right?
Conclusion
Today I shared my experience trying out Canva Pro for free for 30 days. While the free version of Canva is good, I recommend the Canva Pro version for those who want to take their designs to the next level.
If you’re hesitant about spending money, you can try the experience for free—just cancel before it starts. We recommend giving it a try and deciding for yourself.
For reference, Canva underwent a major feature update in April 2025. For those interested in video captioning and automatic presentation speaker notes generation, please refer to my previous post.
I believe that to successfully run an online business, it’s now necessary to study the visual aspects like design. In that regard, I think Canva has everything we need.
I will continue to return with more useful features I discover on the Canva platform. Thank you for reading.
